
Meet Tamara, M. E.d
Owner, Special Educator, IEP Specialist,
Educational Advocate & Consultant
Tamara believes that every student has an innate desire to learn and deserves a safe, inclusive environment where they can thrive as both individuals and learners. Through collaboration among self-advocates, families, and educators, she works to create equitable, personalized learning experiences that support all students.
Tamara holds a Master of Education in Special Education with an emphasis in Behavioral Science from Colorado Christian University, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management from Brigham Young University–Hawaii.
Before founding Collaborative Educational Advocates and Consulting, Tamara served as a special educator in public schools, working with elementary, middle, and high school students across a variety of special education settings. She has extensive experience supporting students with developmental disabilities, specific learning disabilities, ADHD, language impairments, behavioral challenges, serious emotional disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. She also has a strong background in working with students considered “at-risk” and implementing trauma-informed practices.
